FABRIC ART: A twist on traditional sewing - framed pictures and cushions of fabric dogs! 

 

I started experimenting with collage - cutting up random and interesting textiles.  Being a dog lover, I researched the history of each breed and decided to set them in their own backdrops.  You'll see a Labrador bringing in fishing nets, a Jack Russell on tweed, representing its countryside routes.  And then of course the Dachshund just had to have hot dogs around it!

 

I also make dog cushions from random fabrics which provide a lovely, tactile gift. Both pictures and cushions can be personalised, just let me know the breed and the dog's name!
